We love Christmas! It might be one of our favorite holidays. We love night time rides to see all the lights, spending time at all of the holiday celebrations. Our little community of towns does a really fun job of activities that we always frequent. Tree lighting, live nativities, light parades and snow ball fights (the kind we like best, with giant pompoms 😊).
As we are preparing for Christmas, we know that time is short and that we all want to make the best of it. We’ve pulled a list of all of the projects we’ve created in Christmas’ past and gathered them all together to provide some inspiration for you.

Scrappy Christmas Precut Quilt and Stockings
While working with Michael Miller we received a box of the perfect fabrics to play with for Christmas projects. We created this really fun scrappy quilt and scrappy stockings. Both of these projects would work well with any of your favorite scraps, whether they be traditional Christmas colors or modern options like pink and teal.

Confetti is one of those patterns that is versatile enough to be used with any fabric collection. We created this quilt with some really fun whimsical fabrics from Michael Miller with woodland creatures, garland and plaids.

You can’t have Christmas without a Christmas tree. Well, you can, but it’s so much more fun to have that iconic evergreen tree decorated with your favorite ornaments. Mine contains some from my great grandmother’s tree. I love the shapes and colors of those old ornaments. We don’t have decorations on these evergreen trees, but maybe we need a second quilt with some garland on them at least. One more thing to add to my to do list.

We created a Christmas version of this quilt that turned out so fun and festive. It would be a great way to use up any red, green and yellow scraps that you have. We used solids for our version, but how fun would it be with Christmas themed fabrics or tone on tones!

This quilt can be made using precuts to make it fast and easy or scraps to make it cheap and use up those leftover fabrics. It’s another one that is great in Christmas colors, but because of its scrappy nature it really works with everything and for every occasion.

So, I know at first glance this doesn’t look like a Christmas project, but squint your eyes just a little and imagine them in different silvers and golds instead of red, white and blue. Or mix some red and green in with those silvers and golds. Do you have that song in your head yet? I can’t say silver and gold without the song from Rudolph popping into my head.

This was a really fun project to put together. I love adding texture to quilts and this one gave me a different way to create that texture.
We love being able to give handmade gifts and bonus, most of them are great to use up scraps from other projects. If you are looking for something handmade or need a last minute gift that you can create quickly, we’ve got a few ideas for you.
